Non-Immigrant Visa "B" (For teachers or lecturers of public and private education institutions )

Documents required

  • Passport or travel document with validity of not less than 6 months prior to departure and its copy
  • Three completed visa application forms
  • Three recent passport-sized photographs of the applicant
  • Proof of residence in Nepal (for non-Nepali passport holders only)
  • A copy of confirmed airline ticket indicating the date of arrival to Thailand and departure from Thailand
  • Evidence of adequate finance, e.g. an updated 6-month bank statement with a minimum blance of THB 20,000 (NPR 80,000) per person and THB 40,000 (NPR 160,000) per family
  • Letter of acceptance from an institute school in Thailand. For applicants who are going to teach at international schools that are not listed as recognized International Schools, a letter of approval from the Office of the Private Education Commission is required.
  • Evidence of educational qualification such as a copy of diplomas / teaching certification or copies of transcript
  • A copy of school (in Thailand) license or business registration, list of shareholders and school profile
  • Resume of applicant
  • An original letter of verification stating that the applicant has no criminal record/ background check
  • The applicants are requested to contact their respective institutions to send their names and information to the Secretariat of the Ministry of Education for permission to enter Thailand during the COVID-19 situation. (The Embassy will be informed directly of a list of permitted teachers by the Ministry of Education.)
