Non-Immigrant Visa "O-A"

Purpose of visit

  • For long stay: applicants aged 50 years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 1 year without the intention of working

Documents required

  • Three completed visa application forms
  • Three passport-sized photographs
  • Passport with minimum validity of 18 months from the date of planned entry to Thailand
  • Proof of adequate finance, in the form of (i) a deposit account of at least THB 800,000, or (ii) an income statement with a monthly salary of THB 65,000, or (iii) a deposit account plus monthly income of no less than THB 800,000 a year
  • Health Insurance
    - A certificate of health insurance policy issued by Thai insurance companies which covers all kind of medical treatment (both in-house patient and out-patient) and includes COVID-19 related treatment, with the minimum coverage of 3,000,000 THB, during the entire period of stay in Thailand.     - The applicant who prefers to use health insurance policy issued by foreign insurance companies for the visa application must furnish a completed “Foreign Insurance Certificate”, as well as a copy of certificate of health insurance policy that which covers all kind of medical treatment (both in-house patient and out-patient) and includes COVID-19 related treatment, with the minimum coverage of 3,000,000 THB during the entire period of stay in Thailand. The Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company.   • Police Clearance Certificate, issued less than 3 months prior to submitting the visa application.
  • Completed Medical Certificate Form, with a valid/legal rubber stamp of medical doctor to confirm its authenticity, issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (https://kathmandu.thaiembassy.org/en/page/forms?menu=6115eef61b2f5a05c033a3d2)
  • Visa fee

** The applicant’s spouse may also apply for the Non-Immigrant "O-A" Visa by submitting the same required documents as the main applicant. If not qualified, the spouse may apply for Non-Immigrant "O" Visa.
