‘SC Grand’: A brand committed to making sustainable textile ‘Wat Jirarot Pojanavaraphan’ built-on his family’s textile business by adopting new technologies and innovations to up cycle leftover material ranging from offcuts to old clothing to plastic waste and turn them into high quality recycled yarn for the textile industry. The company also uses natural materials such as pineapple, hemp and other plants to produce unbleached fiber that can save over 2,700 liters of water typically used in the manufacturing process. This is equivalent to 3 years’ worth of drinking water. What’s more, the company also partners with local communities to turn recycled yarn into textile which is used to create other wonderful products from socks to shoes, clothes and furniture. Jirarot also created ‘Circular’, a clothing brand that makes ready to wear clothes from recycled yarn, to show that clothes made from recycled yarn can be used in a daily life and an answer for today’s consumers who are both fashion-savvy and care for the environment.
