On 9-10 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Nepal, along with his spouse and embassy officers were invited to attend the Royal Examination of Buddhist Study at the Royal Thai Monastery in Lumbini.  

On this occasion, Ambassador and his team visited the Buddha Clinic and donated fund to Phra Sribodhivides, Chief Abbot of the Royal Thai Monastery in Lumbini, to support the operation of the Clinic and for purchasing necessary medical equipment.

Besides, Ambassador also led the Embassy team to survey Belahiya - Sunauli, the checkpoint boarder between Nepal - India that Thai pilgrims use to enter Nepal to pay restpect to the birthplace of the Lord Buddha in Lumbini, to ensure smooth facilitation for Thai pilgrims especially during high season.
