On May 24, 2024, Mr. Supapong Sirisorn, Ambassador of Thailand in Kathmandu, attended the launch event of Thai Airways flight at the Dusit Princess Hotel, Kathmandu.

On this occasion, Ambassador expressed his congratulations on Thai Airways resuming its flights to Nepal since late October 2023, after ceasing operations during the COVID-19 situation. Moreover, from mid-December 2023 onwards, Thai Airways has increased its service to two flights/day. Thai Airways began flying to Nepal in 1968, which has helped promote closer connections between the people of the two countries.
