On 24 June 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, Kathmandu and the Royal Thai Monastery, Lumbini organised a merit making ceremony in commemoration of the 96th Birthday Anniversary of His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatayana the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand at the Royal Thai Monastery, Lumbini. The activities include a chating ceremony by almost 100 international monks, novice monks and nuns and a Buddhist alms food offering ceremony, etc.
